Calum Hoad
Remote sensing ecologist

Calum Hoad, PhD | Remote sensing | Ecology |

I currently work as a Senior Science Officer at Project Seagrass, where I use my experience in remote sensing and field ecology to map the extent and health of seagrass meadows. I completed my PhD research within the University of Edinburgh's School of GeoSciences, using imagery from satellites and drones to better understand Arctic vegetation change. I'm passionate about teaching and science outreach, a skilled visual communicator, and I hold significant experience travelling and working outdoors in Arctic, alpine and coastal environments.
